POPULAR QUESTIONS

Electrical work requires proper licensing, safety training, and compliance with California electrical codes. Many issues aren’t visible until the system is opened up, and older homes often have outdated wiring that needs upgrading. Quality parts, safe installation, and code-compliant repairs ensure your home stays protected long-term.

Most small jobs—like outlet replacements, lighting installation, or troubleshooting—can be completed in one visit. Larger projects such as panel upgrades, rewiring, or EV charger installations may take several hours or multiple days depending on permitting, material needs, and project complexity.

You may need a panel upgrade if breakers trip frequently, you’re installing high-demand appliances, or the panel is older than 25–30 years. Modern homes require more capacity for today’s electronics, HVAC systems, and EV chargers. Upgrading ensures safety and reliable power.

DIY electrical work is extremely risky and can cause fires, shock hazards, or code violations that harm insurance coverage. A licensed electrician has the training, tools, and knowledge to diagnose issues properly and ensure repairs meet California safety codes.
